• About The Brand

  and the little dog laughed was launched in 2008 by Australian designer, Kylie Platt. Kylie draws a lot of inspiration from her own childhood and particularly likes to create timeless pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia.

  The inspiration for the labels' name comes from one of her favourite nursery rhymes from her childhood, Hey Diddle Diddle. Their magical range of classic soft toys are full of nostalgia and include wool blend animals with Australian merino wool knitted clothing as well as soft and cuddly knitted toys. They are filled with kapok stuffing, a natural fibre obtained from seed hairs of kapok trees making it hypoallergenic and safe for bub. Each is designed to become a forever friend.
