The Badfish Handplane

WAW’s BadFish Handplane is made without any virgin plastic materials - perfect for ocean-lovers who want to catch more waves with less waste. Each handplane is constructed from 1/3 recycled ocean plastics collected from the Great Barrier Reef and 2/3 material from household recycling bins.

How does it work? The ocean plastics are collected by the legends at Eco Barge Clean Seas, before being hand-sorted and hand-washed, then shredded courtesy of the Plastic Collective.

After this, the shredded material is deconstructed by the team at REPLAS, then mixed with waste from domestic recycling bins (think plastic bags, bottle caps, and takeaway containers). Finally, it’s shaped into a sleek and ergonomic design that lets you catch the finest waves.
