Hat Care Guide | With the right care, your FBS hat will soften, shape to you and last for years.
• Store it well. Rest your hat upside down on its crown, never on the brim. For longer storage, use a hat box or hang it away from direct sunlight.
• Handle by the crown. Avoid gripping the brim when putting your hat on or taking it off to help maintain its shape.
• Let it breathe. After wearing, especially on warm days, flip up the sweatband and allow the hat to air dry upside down before storing.
• Avoid heat and humidity. Keep your hat away from hot cars, heaters and prolonged direct sunlight, which can damage the fibres and alter its shape.
Felt Hats
• Clean gently. Use a soft hat brush to remove dust and dirt with short, gentle strokes. For lint, lightly dab the surface with masking tape.
• For light marks. Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and allow to dry naturally. Never use a hair dryer or direct heat.
• If it gets wet. Wool felt is naturally water-resistant. Shake off excess water, gently reshape while damp and leave upside down to dry at room temperature.
• To reshape. Hold the hat over steam for 20–30 seconds, then gently mould the crown and brim back into shape. Allow it to cool and set before wearing.
