Nash + Banks™ is a curated guide for people who give a damn. A source that helps make it easy for you to discover well designed ethical, sustainable and artisan products that have a positive impact on people and our planet.
We don't exist to preach, convert or judge how you live your life; we're here to help you make better choices wherever you can. We know first hand that it's not easy living day-to-day in the real world while saving the planet at the same time. The juggle is real.
Starting to replace items in our life - one by one - with better alternatives is something we can all do. And sourcing products that are worthy of treasuring rather than trashing is what we do!
All of the products that we recommend are discovered, researched and vetted by our team to ensure that they deliver against eight core values chosen to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: "Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns", as well as goals: 5, 8, 13, 14 and 15.
We believe that collectively, each small step can lead to giant strides into a better future for ourselves and the generations to come.
What are purpose-driven brands?
All businesses need to make money to function, sure. But purpose-driven businesses deliver services and products that align with their values; values the brands are passionate about and that are usually linked to improvements for our planet or the people on it. This includes their own production methods, the choice of materials that they use, the working conditions of the people who produce their products, the causes that they support and the committment to transparency.
Am I a conscious consumer?

It’s all about building more awareness that every purchase decision we make is a vote that justifies or questions the ways in which brands create their services or products.
Sure, who doesn’t love a low price tag!? Unfortunately, the true cost is often ignored. Whether it's unsustainable consumption of natural resources, exploitation of the workforce or unfiltered levels of pollution and waste, there is often more to a “great offer” than meets the eye.
Conscious Consumers review their habits and purchase decisions with that in mind. They deliberately spend their money on quality products that will last a long time and are created by purpose-driven brands that produce in a sustainable, ethical and low-waste way.
If that’s your schtick, then you just found a new group of amazing friends. Hooray!

How do you determine if a brand upholds the values they claim to deliver against?
We’re so glad you asked! Homework is our jam! We take the research and selection of all the products that we recommend very seriously and match all potential products and brands to our Values.
And given that we are all about promoting better - not perfect - we don’t expect a brand to tick all the boxes, but rather to be strongly delivering against one or more in a measurable and transparent way.

What types of payment do you accept?
Currently, we are accepting Apple Pay, Google Pay, Master Card, VISA, PayPal, Shopify Pay. We also Offer AfterPay.
Where do you deliver and how much does it cost?
We ship orders worldwide! See our Shipping Page for more information.
Shipping is FREE within Australia for all orders over $150.
For all other orders we charge a Flat Fee of $10 to ship Australia-wide.
Most, but not all of our brands ship Overseas. For International Shipping options and rates please consult the Shipping + Returns section on each product page (under the product description). The rates for your shipping will also be displayed at checkout.
How long does it take until I can cozy up to my new favourite item?
The estimated shipping times differ depending on the product(s) and brand(s) that you select. All of the juicy details regarding a product’s shipping Rates and Times can be found in the Shipping + Returns tab on the product page (under the product description).
Will I have to pay taxes and duties for my order?
You will be liable for all import duties, customs and taxes. These will be due at the point of, or after delivery.
Please be aware that Nash + Banks does not have any control over any duties, customs and taxes levied by the country your order is being shipped to. We cannot advise you what the cost will be as these charges can vary according to country.
Since these fees are not computed nor applied to orders by Nash + Banks, please contact your local customs office to find out more information if you are unsure of the charges.

Why are some of the items from my order arriving separately?
We curate a selecion of ethical, sustainable and artisan brands in one place, so you have one easy place to source them. We discover, research, test and hand-pick each product. But we don't stock or warehouse them.
You do the buying through our site, then we pass your order onto each brand or artisan to make and send to you themselves. Many of these items are made by hand and with passion and care, so they may take longer than their mass-produced alternatives, but they are definitely worth the wait.
Because the products that you've carefully selected are sent by the brands themselves, parcels from different sellers may arrive separately. To get an idea of when you can expect your order, take a look at the delivery information nestled beside the product info on each item’s page.
Tell me more about your packaging and shipping.
All orders sent directly from Nash + Banks HQ are sent in cardboard boxes, compostable mailers or envelopes that are made from recycled materials that are able to be composted or recycled again.
For orders sent directly from our brands, we detail a brand's commitment to minimising waste in their packaging (if they deliver against this objective) in the Brand & Values section on each product page.
All Nash + Banks marketing material and and Thank You cards are also made from 100% Recycled Paper from Print Together, made in Victoria, Australia.
Our products are delicately gift wrapped in 100% recycled tissue paper. It is acid-free and FSC certified and the ink is soy-based. We also used either recycled paper or biodegradable cornstarch packing peanuts for fragile items.
As much as possible we also reuse our shipping materials until they break down and then recycle them.
Depending on the delivery location, our orders to customers are delivered by either Australia Post, who have 100% carbon neutral deliveries, or Sendle, who are 100% carbon neutral and B-Corp certified.
