How Does The Wine Glass Work?
The signature directional fins of the Denver & Liely Wine Glass extend radially from a raised hub at the bowl’s base, stimulating aeration and gentle agitation with each swirl. The fins are asymmetrical, offering two rates of aeration — subtle upon clockwise rotation and more robust in reverse — giving the wine drinker more control over their desired level and oxidising the wine more quickly than a conventional wine glass.
The raised hub is an extension of the glass’s stem, forming a sloped hub that promotes a more delicate entry into the bowl while hastening decantation. In addition, the core's height and the bowl’s widest point indicate the volume of a 150ml pour.
Each of D&L's glasses are handmade by their skilled glassmakers, giving them a one-of-a-kind character. As part of the craft, slight size and weight variations, tiny bubbles, and minor imperfections are perfectly normal and add to the charm.
