We purchased an Alluvial Cuff in night bronze recently, I feel for this price you should consider that not any man’s wrist is round, more oval, therefore shape to fit… I’ve had to reshape mine, easier said than done! Also, might consider clear coating them in a lacquer of some sort, to stop the tarnish from leaving a mark on the wrist when worn, I also had to do that myself. Just some basic stuff to improve your product, it’s a premium price your charging, go the extra mile…
Hi Sarah, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you felt you had to make adjustments yourself to this unique artisan piece. Smith and Poet jewellery is all handmade. Each piece is carefully crafted step by step by the artist so slight variations are common. This is the appeal of handcrafted, loving made slowly. It is a unisex piece and wrist sizes will vary. The artist is local and would be more than happy to reshape the cuff to fit your partners wrist at no charge. Base metals like bronze can darken skin but this may not happen as well. It depends on the natural oils on the skin and other varying factors. The artist uses traditional metalsmithing techniques and a patina is used on the cuff to darken the metal and gives it its unique beauty. This is then brush finished and gently brush finished to removes an excess. The colour will change over time and is designed to age beautifully. Adding a lacquer onto the metal is not part of the artists values on traditional metalsmithing. It would have been best to contact the store first.
