WAW’s BadFish Handplane in Earth Green is made without any virgin plastic materials - perfect for ocean-lovers who want to catch more waves with less waste. Each handplane is constructed from 1/3 recycled ocean plastics collected from the Great Barrier Reef and 2/3 material from household recycling bins.

How does it work? The ocean plastics are collected by the legends at Eco Barge Clean Seas, before being hand-sorted and hand-washed, then shredded courtesy of the Plastic Collective.

After this, the shredded material is deconstructed by the team at REPLAS, then mixed with waste from domestic recycling bins (think plastic bags, bottle caps, and takeaway containers). Finally, it’s shaped into a sleek and ergonomic design that lets you catch the finest waves.

The warranty covers all mechanical failures for 2 years from purchase date. Any damage attributed to neglect or general wear and tear will not be covered but can be repaired.

The WAW BadFish is made from recycled ocean plastics collected from the Great Barrier Reef– all hand washed and shredded by Eco Barge Clean Seas before being moulded into high-quality handplanes by the guys at REPLAS.
It’s made from 1/3 recycled ocean plastic collected from the Great Barrier Reef, and 2/3 from household recycling bins. They can use plastic items such as:
Plastic bags, Bottle capS, Toothbrushes, Straws, Takeaway containers, Detergent bottles, Single-use cutlery, Coffee cup lids, Milk bottles, and Toys.
The material they use is collected from Australian beaches by the legends at Eco Barge Clean Seas. Its then taken back to their facility where it is hand sorted, hand washed and shredded with a machine provided by the Plastic Collective
From here, the shredded material is sent to their manufacturer REPLAS who melt the shred down and mix it with waste from pre-sorted Australian domestic recycling bins, to finally bring you the WAW BadFish high-performance bodysurfing handplane.
