NATURAL | ARTISAN | SUSTAINABLE
The largest of the Table Riser range. Made of sustainably sourced mango wood, the Long Table Riser is ideal for a bigger selection of antipasto products.
Designed to add height and an element of texture, this table riser is lightweight, durable and practical.
Each piece has been treated with an oil-resistant varnish. Designed in Melbourne, made in India from sustainably sourced timber. For the protection and longevity of your new serve ware, The Wood People recommend using a food-safe mineral oil to help prevent stains. This may change the colour of the wood. Wood is porous and over time wear and tear will show. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy oils. Hand wash only. Do not soak.
About The Brand
Boasting sleek lines and a minimalist design, The Wood People showcase a range of utterly divine bath trays, crockery and serve ware.
Designed in Melbourne, each piece has been handcrafted by Indian artisans and is made from ethically-sourced mango wood. A byproduct of farming mangos, mango trees grow very quickly and have the strength and durability of other woods like oak or pine. Their mango wood is sourced from India and meets all ethical logging standards, with VRIKSH Certification for each batch.
Once it’s been carved with care, the pieces are then finished with non-toxic varnishes and package using minimal plastic and waste. Made with love, these timeless pieces are perfect for any home, adding that finishing touch of elegance and refinement.

With ethical and sustainable processes at the forefront of The Wood People, the choice to use mango wood was an important decision. With the strength and durability of other wood such as oak or pine, mango wood is a byproduct of farming mangos. The trees grow very quickly and once they no longer bear fruit, they are cut down and used as a sustainable source of timber worldwide.
The Wood People work proudly and openly with their Indian makers. A lot of work has gone into creating a range that uses non-toxic varnishes, is durable and timeless, and is made and packaged using minimal plastic and waste. Each piece is hand finished with great attention to detail. Uniquely designed in Melbourne.
The Wood People might be a small business, but their goals are not! Their aim is to create pieces that have a timeless and classic design, make you feel good, and have no negative effect on the planet.
Sustainability is at the forefront of everything The Wood People do. Each piece is crafted by hand & made from ethically sourced timbers. Style your home knowing the range has been designed & created with low impact on the Earth.
Their mango wood is sourced from India, meeting all ethical logging standards. They pride themselves in knowing the raw materials have been ethically sourced, with VRIKSH Certificates available for each range.
