SUSTAINABLE | MINIMAL WASTE | NATURAL
The Hoya Coronaria Red is a beautiful little Hoya from Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia where it is found in mangrove swamps and lowland forest. It has medium sized oval leaves that terminate in a point to assist with water shedding.
Delivered to your door in cleverly designed recyclable cardboard packaging.
**NOTE: Currently only able to ship to Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide, Australia.
The leaves of the Hoya Coronaria Red are a beautiful blue green. The real appeal of these plants are their large, (up to 5cm) star shaped, waxy red flowers. The flowers are produced in clusters of 8 and are strongly scented...in a good way!
This is a reasonably fast growing Hoya that is well suited to life indoors.
About The Brand
There’s something blissful about filling your home with plants and greenery. Not only are house plants a bright spot of colour in the home, but they also improve mental health, giving us the opportunity to take a step back and smell the roses.
Greenhouse Co is dedicated to bringing the wilderness indoors with luscious plants in gorgeous ceramic pots. For Josh, the creator of Greenhouse Co and a horticulturist himself, having plants in your home is a great way to maintain a connection to nature, especially if you live in an apartment in the city.
Once you’ve chosen your perfect plant companion, it will be lovingly popped in a reusable plastic pot (so that it can be easily lifted out for watering and rehomed when it grows), wrapped in a calico bag, and tied into cleverly designed recyclable cardboard packaging that will help it stay upright on its journey.

SUSTAINABLE & MINIMAL WASTE
Sustainability and minimising waste are important to Greenhouse Co - which is why they have designed fully recycle-able, plastic-free packaging. Each plant is delivered in a reusable plastic pot (so that it can be easily lifted out for watering and rehomed when it grows) and recyclable packaging, including coir fibre (an already-recycled product that is 100% compostable) and calico bags.
As a general rule, let the top 2-3cm of soil in the pot dry out before watering again in the growing season (Spring and Summer). In the colder months let them dry out much more before watering again. In a temperate climate Hoyas hate cold water sitting of the leaves and damp soggy soil through winter.
Like most Hoyas they can handle shade but if you want them to flower, and believe me, you want them to flower, they need bright light for a good portion of the day. Somewhere close to (but not too close) to a large north facing window is great!
As they are from lowland areas of tropical countries they prefer consistently warm, humid conditions but they will tolerate the odd night down to 5 degrees celsius as long as they are kept reasonably dry.
They are currently a single stem vine about 15-20cm long. Once roots become obvious on the soil surface they can be repotted into the next size pot. Be careful not to over pot as this will result in the plant staying too wet. Use a good quality cacti and succulent mix. They respond well to pruning during the warmer months.
