SUSTAINABLE | ETHICAL | MINIMAL WASTE | UPCYCLED | GIVES BACK
The team at Ahimsa Collective are on a mission. Armed with design #skillz and a commitment to creating accessories with maximum impact and minimal footprint, they are a slow fashion brand with a rapidly growing fan base.
The Half Moon Mini Clutch in Maroon is part of their limited edition 'Trash Bags' range and is made from fashion industry deadstock - part of the huge waste the industry produces including off-cuts from high-end fashion houses, or wrong orders of colour, type or length.
They salvaged this special Maroon material two years ago (from an industry waste warehouse in Australia) and have been storing it ever since, waiting for a time for it to shine... and Voilà!
An extension of their popular Half Moon range this beauty triples as a cross-body, shoulder bag and clutch - perfect for whatever phase you - or the moon - are in!

SUSTAINABLE & UPCYCLED
Every item sold by The Ahimsa Collective is carefully crafted using sustainable or recyclable materials. From Piñatex (made from pineapple fibres) to Ecoprene (made of recycled carpets and post-consumer clothing) to rescued deadstock, every element has been chosen based on its impact on the planet. Their aim to not only reduce the fashion industry’s footprint but attempt to reverse it.
This means materials like off-cuts from high-end fashion houses, or wrong orders of colour, type or length. They work with an Australian company who intercept these discarded materials and we reuse this deadstock in our bags.
While they long to see the day where there is no more Deadstock, they know there is still a lot out there, begging for a little love and a whole new lease of life.
Following their no-waste ethos all the way through to delivery of your new items, all materials used in the packaging of The Ahimsa Collective goods produce minimal waste. Internal material and boxes are made from 100% Recycled material and are printed using soy-based inks. Boxes are then placed into a custom branded The Ahimsa Collective biodegradable and compostable ‘plastic’ mailer. Tissue used is acid-free, FSC certified and used is soy-based. For every tissue paper order they place their partner plants trees in areas of need.
