Product Info
Originally for South Africa, these beauties produce a rosette of strappy variegated leaves. As they mature, the mother plant will begin the produce many little plantlets that dangle from their runners giving the appearance of fleshy green and white spiders, hence the name.
About The Brand
There’s something blissful about filling your home with plants and greenery. Not only are house plants a bright spot of colour in the home, but they also improve mental health, giving us the opportunity to take a step back and smell the roses.
Greenhouse Co is dedicated to bringing the wilderness indoors with luscious plants in gorgeous ceramic pots. For Josh, the creator of Greenhouse Co and a horticulturist himself, having plants in your home is a great way to maintain a connection to nature, especially if you live in an apartment in the city.
Once you’ve chosen your perfect plant companion, it will be lovingly popped in a reusable plastic pot (so that it can be easily lifted out for watering and rehomed when it grows), wrapped in a calico bag, and tied into cleverly designed recyclable cardboard packaging that will help it stay upright on its journey.

NATURAL
Because...you know...plants.
SUSTAINABLE & MINIMAL WASTE
Sustainability and minimising waste are important to Greenhouse Co - which is why they have designed fully recycle-able, plastic-free packaging. Each plant is delivered in a reusable plastic pot (so that it can be easily lifted out for watering and rehomed when it grows) and recyclable packaging, including coir fibre (an already-recycled product that is 100% compostable) and calico bags.
Care
WATERING
Wait until the top 2-3cm centimetres of soil in the pot has dried out before watering heavily. Water less in in the cooler month to replicate the tropical dry season. These guys are pretty tolerant if you miss a watering or two, but you will see noticeable increases in growth during the summer months if you remember to water regularly.
POSITION
Bright indirect light and a humid position is what these guys love but they can adapt to much lower light than most houseplants. They don't like frost but they actually prefer cooler growing conditions. Their cool growing preference and ability to adapt to low light makes them the perfect plants for a cool bathroom or laundry or some other forgotten corner of the house.
MANAGING GROWTH
These plants will handle heaps of abuse. You can cut them right back to the base at anytime to get some fresh new growth. Regular pruning of pups may be required to keep the plant looking tidy (if that's the look you’re going for) otherwise just let it do its thang!
